The Imperial Mudtrooper, also known as the Imperial Army Trooper or simply Mudtrooper, was a specialized type of soldier within the ground forces of the Galactic Empire. These troopers were typically assigned to environments with difficult terrain, most notably mud-filled or otherwise waterlogged battlefields.

Mudtroopers were identifiable by their unique, albeit incomplete, armor. Rather than full-body stormtrooper armor, they wore olive-green fatigues and a helmet that offered some protection against the elements. Their gear was often designed for practicality in adverse conditions, emphasizing mobility and utility over extensive protection.

One notable deployment of Mudtroopers was during the Battle of Mimban, a brutal conflict fought on the swampy planet of Mimban. This battle saw a heavy reliance on these specialized troopers due to the inhospitable landscape. While not as glorified as the stormtroopers, the Mudtroopers represented the often unseen and unappreciated foot soldiers of the Empire, tasked with the grim work of maintaining Imperial control in challenging environments.
